First steps offer private antenatal classes of varying formats from evening group sessions, weekend groups sessions to private one to one in your own home for you and your birth partner.

First steps believes that the pregnancy and birth of your baby is a unique and special time of your life. It is a time of excitement and a journey of emotions and lots of decisions. We feel that every parent to be should approach parenthood feeling happy, confident and well prepared. We aim with our parental education courses to make that journey to parenthood easier.

We encourage informed choices, and use current up to date research and statistics to help you explore your choices. We also no more than 8 couples on a course to encourage and promote a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to help you get to know each other.

We are a small company, who are fully insured and are NCT (National Childbirth Trust) trained with Diplomas of higher education in Adult Education (Antenatal Education). We have lots of experience in all aspects of teaching, pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting, as well having a good understanding of local NHS and private care provision. We also offer weaning sessions from five months and nutritional advice for infants and toddlers.

We feel it is our role to support all our clients in their birth choice and we offer complete and un-biased information. Every course is unique and built around client needs.
